Skincare doesn’t have to be pricey and tough. You can get flawless skin, by following these simple tips and using DIY recipes. Wanna know more?
Quick n Easy DIY Moisturizing Pack
Regular moisturization doubles up as an anti-ageing aid, as it helps retain moisture and covers up wrinkles, giving you a smooth skin. You don’t need to buy a pricey moisturizer for moisturizing your skin. You add fresh cream, avocado and honey to a blender and blend to combine the ingredients. Apply to clean face and wash off after one hour.
Though this might work for everyone, I sometimes use this method for getting rid of acne real quick. I combine brewer’s yeast with lemon juice and if needed, water. I apply this paste on acne and leave for it about half hour, before washing off. This dries the acne and it falls off, without leaving an embarrassing scar.
Make a quick berry fruit salad with chopped strawberries, blueberries and kiwi. Add a hint of pomegranate and chopped walnuts and finish with a drizzle of Orange juice. Have this as a breakfast for an energetic day, as the antioxidants protect you against sun-inflicted damage and enhance blood circulation. Having berries daily gives you flawless skin and also, delays ageing skin signs.
We all know toner is very important to curb acne and get a clear skin. I use this simple toner when I get hands on basil leaves. I usually use fresh ones, though dried basil leaves works too. Bring a handful of basil leaves to a boil and let it cool. When it cools down, transfer to a container with a spray and use as needed.
Tasty Coffee Scrub
Want to exfoliate your skin? Of course, it is a great way to get smooth skin. It gets rid of accumulated dirt and removes dead cells. What’s not to like about it? I prepare a soft scrub with ground coffee seeds, ground oatmeal, a pinch of cinnamon and a dash of honey. I apply this paste to my face gently and let it sit for about 15 minutes. I then wash off and love the way my skin feels after this treatment.
Age spot Aid
Age spots are a common problem with age. However, do you know you can deal with easily? I use this simple paste for getting rid of these spots. I combine cooked rice, agave nectar and lemon juice in a blender. I apply this mixture to dry hands for about two minutes (use firm and gentle pressure) and wash off.
Like my face, I love treating my lips to a scrub for luscious and soft lips. However, I like this one to be gentler. So, I use ground coffee seeds and salt, with a few drops of oil or water. I apply this to my lips and massage gently for a minute or two. I wash off and follow up with a lip balm.
Wondering what Lip Balm I use? I use the recipe I have listed here, or just apply Coconut Oil or Clarified Butter for moisturizing my lips.
Besides these, I never skip using a sunscreen when heading out. I have a personalized skin routine that’s suitable for my skin and never go to bed with makeup (even though I use it VERY RARELY – read special occasions). I use all-natural products like the ones offered by Revitol or go with DIY recipes for my requirements. Today, most products are loaded with harmful chemicals that you shouldn’t put on your skin. Sad, but true!
Of course, there’s FDA. But, they don’t check products before they’re launched and have banned very few products unlike the stringent regulations in the UK. That’s why you still find Lead in many cosmetics, though it is highly likely that your lipstick has sneaked this one in!
Don’t fall for marketing gimmicks and stick with all-natural skincare products for your requirements. It is isn’t wrong to buy cosmetics, as long you check the labels and ensure they’re free from chemicals and parabens. I personally prefer Revitol as it keeps my skin great, without harmful carcinogens.
