As a continuation to our previous post on Essential Oils for Skincare, here are more essential oils that are good for skincare. Many skin problems can be treated or curbed with essential oils and they’re used for several centuries with good results.

Rosemary Essential Oil

Calming oil that helps reduce dermatitis and psoriasis, it also stimulates blood circulation.

Peppermint Essential Oil

Peppermint is quite popular and helps stimulate blood flow when applied. It is also used to treat inflammation, eczema and dermatitis.

Mandarin Essential Oil

Do you know you can use this oil during pregnancy and for children? This oil enhances cell regeneration and helps prevent stretch marks during pregnancy. Have oily and acne-prone skin or blackheads? You can apply this oil to your skin directly for treating acne and blackheads.

Myrrh Essential Oil

It is good for aging or infected skin and helps soothe inflamed, infected, dry or chapped skin.

Rosewood Essential Oil

Citrus Essential Oils

Lime, Orange, Lemon, Sweet Orange, Grapefruit, Bergamot and Tangerine are all called Citrus oils. They are known for their astringent and antibacterial properties. They help with skin toning, stimulate microcirculation, balance sebum production, promote tissue regeneration, reduce and lighten scars, etc.

Cypress Essential Oil

Fennel Essential Oil

Tangerine Essential Oil

Sage Essential Oil

Petitgrain Essential Oil

One of the three oils extracted from Orange tree, it helps balance your skin and evens out skin tone. Much like lemon or lime oil with skin lightening and scar reduction properties, it is fairly milder than lemon-based oils.

Palmarosa Essential Oil

Palmarosa essential oil helps regulate skin sebum levels and especially good for aging skin as it helps with cell regeneration. It hydrates, nourishes and moisturizes the skin, reduces acne and treats dermatitis. It is useful in treating skin infections, too.

Myrtle Essential Oil

Myrtle essential oil has bactericidal and antiseptic properties. It is also a mild astringent and helps curb acne and regulate skin oils production for those with oily or acne-prone skin. It is a great skin revitalizer.

Vetiver Essential Oil

Vetiver essential oil is good to regulate oily skin, curb acne breakouts, heals wounds and cuts, calms inflamed or irritated skin and helps with rejuvenation in mature or aging skin.

Violet Essential Oil

Quite rare and costly, it helps heal inflammation. It also helps curb acne breakouts, reduce pore size and eliminate blackheads. It also helps heal eczema and rashes. However, it should be diluted before application.

Birch Essential Oil

White birch essential oil is used for those with dry skin, to treat eczema and other fungal infections. It also reduces cellulite when applied to skin after dilution.

Remember: You should not apply essential oils to your skin directly, so consider adding a drop or two to Revitol products before applying, for best results.
